Each NetScope appliance has a unique identifier that ties in with a license generated by Turbosoft Networks.

To obtain a license first log in to Netscope:

  • Username: admin
  • Password: n5admin

(if logging in from outside a trusted/secure network, change the username and password for admin. Also, email info@netscope.com.au to organise a server certificate to use HTTPS.)

If you’re after a NetScope Demo license all you need to do is:

  • Click on the ‘About’ tab.
  • Click on ‘GET DEMO LICENSE’ next to Hardware ID.
  • You will be presented with a form on the NetScope website to fill in some details.
  • After successfully submitting the form a license file will be emailed to your chosen email address.
  • You then need to follow ‘Uploading your new license file’ below.

Otherwise,

  • Do ‘CLICK TO OBTAIN LICENSE’ in the ‘About’ menu.
  • After successfully filling and submitting the form a license file will be emailed to your chosen email address.
  • Follow ‘Uploading your new license file’ below.

If, for any other reason, you need to send the unique identifier manually:

  1. Select the Configuration tab on the top menu.
  2. Click on the ‘License’ menu item on the left-hand side.
  3. Click ‘Next’.

Uploading your new license file:

  • Select the Configuration tab on the top menu.
  • Click on the ‘License’ menu item on the left-hand side.
  • Click the ‘Next’ button to proceed to the ‘request’ tab.
  • Click the ‘Upload’ button and navigate to your license file and upload it to the server.
  • You should then get a message saying that the license was uploaded successfully.
  • If successful NetScope will now show live network traffic.
